National Hockey League (NHL) is one of the most prestigious hockey tournaments in the world, featuring professional teams from the United States and Canada. The 2022-2023 season will be the league’s 106th and begins on October 7, 2022.

The Hockey League is divided into West and East. The Eastern Conference is divided into two divisions: Atlantic and Capital. The Western Conference includes the Central and Pacific divisions.
A total of 32 teams play in the League and will play 82 games against each other. At the end of their games, the team with the most points is awarded the President’s Cup. The East Division champion is awarded the Prince of Wales trophy, and the West Division champion is awarded the Clarence Campbell trophy.
In addition to the regular season cup, individual prizes are awarded: Best Scorer, Best Goaltender, Most Valuable Player, Best Rookie of the Season, Fair Play Player, etc. A total of 20 individual awards are given in the League.
The top 3 teams from each division + the top two teams from each conference advance to the playoffs or the Stanley Cup. The playoff round is a series of games against each other up to 4 wins.
The winner of the playoff round is awarded the Stanley Cup, a 90 cm tall silver vase. The playoff round also awards individual prizes: most valuable player of the playoffs, coach of the NHL season.
