The 2022 season is complete!

World Champion: Max Verstappen

Constructors Cup: Red Bull

Formula 1 (F1) is the annual world championship in the F1 (Formula 1) class of motor racing, which is governed by the rules of the Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA). The 2022 season consists of 22 rounds and begins on March 20 (Bahrain Grand Prix) and ends on November 20 (Abu Dhabi Grand Prix).

There will be 21 drivers competing for the title of “World Champion” and 10 teams competing for the “Constructors’ Cup”. For each victory in the race a driver is awarded 25 points and one extra point if he was able to show the best lap. Points are awarded only to those drivers who were able to finish in the top 10 at the end of the race.

Each team can have 2 drivers in the Grand Prix. The points scored by both pilots go to the total table of the constructors’ cup. At the end of the season, the Cup is won by the team that will be at the top of the overall standings among the teams. The World Champion is the driver who, at the end of the season, will be in first place in the individual standings.

Formula 1 is a very expensive sport, which is followed by about 1.5 billion fans around the world. Each season’s prize pool is a strict trade secret, but it is estimated that 10 teams received more than $1 billion in payouts in 2019.

The most titled athletes in F1 history are Michael Schumacher and Lewis Hamilton. Each has seven world championship titles to his credit.
