VTB United League 2023-2024 is the 15th season of the international basketball tournament VTB United League among men’s teams under the auspices of the Russian Basketball Federation (RFB), which will be held from October 01, 2023 to May 31, 2024.

The jubilee season will feature 14 teams (newcomers Uralmash and Runa), and the Russian team that shows the best result in the playoff round can become the champion of Russia.

The tournament is held in three stages:

1. Regular Championship. It is divided into 2 stages, in each stage the teams play two games against each other (home/away). In the first stage, the teams will play 26 games in the whole table. At the second stage, the teams will be divided into 2 groups, which in turn will play 10 games in Group “A” (the top 6 teams of the first stage) and 14 games in Group “B” (from 7th to 14th place). The 1st-4th place teams in Group “B” will qualify for the Play-in, while the remaining teams will finish the championship.
2. Play-in. The task of this stage is to determine the 2nd teams that will take part in the play-off round. The losing teams will take the final 9th and 10th place in the VTB United League.
3. Playoffs. The playoff round is a series of games. In the quarterfinals and in the series for 3rd place the teams play each other up to 3 wins, and in the semifinals and finals – up to 4 wins. Below is a diagram of the playoff round.

In addition to the title of Russian champion, the league awards 12 individual honors:

• Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the regular season;
• Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the playoff round;
• Best Sniper;
• Best Defensive Player;
• Best 6th Player;
• Best Performance of the Season (for individual accomplishments in a single game);
• All-Star Game Most Valuable Player;
• Best Debutant;
• Coach of the Year;
• Best Young Player;
• Best Player;
• Hall of Fame (for significant contribution to the development and popularization of the League).

The most decorated team in the VTB United League is PBC CSKA (11 titles). Khimki (2010/2011), Zenit (2021/2022) and UNICS (2022/2023) have won the title once each.
